National Apprenticeship Week. Investing in People

National Apprenticeship Week gives us a good excuse to highlight something we believe in all year round – developing people from the ground up.

Our ongoing partnership with Craven College plays a big part in that. From delivering projects within their facilities to supporting students as they enter the trade, it’s a relationship rooted in shared values: practical learning, opportunity, and investing in the next generation of skilled professionals.

Luka joined us as an apprentice joiner while studying at Craven College, learning his trade on site, gaining real hands-on experience, and becoming part of the team from day one. Since completing his course, he’s taken his next step with us and moved into the office as a Trainee Project Support, beginning the journey toward project management.

For us, apprenticeships aren’t just about filling roles. They’re about building careers. Real exposure on real projects, backed by education and support, creates confident, capable people who understand every layer of the industry, and not just the finished product.

Luka’s progression is exactly the kind of story we’re proud of, local talent, supported locally, growing within the business. It’s proof that when education and industry work together, everyone benefits: the individual, the business, and the wider community.
